A structured onboarding pipeline lets new venues upload floor plans and points of interest without custom engineering per site.

Search spans building, department, and category data in a single index, with category chips like Academic, Hospital, and Events for quick filtering.

Overview
Iwaymaps set out to solve a problem GPS can't: guiding people through the interior of large, complex venues like university campuses, hospitals, and tech parks. Albos Technologies Pvt Ltd built the wayfinding app and its venue onboarding pipeline.
The challenge
Indoor navigation needed a positioning approach that doesn't depend on GPS, and every new venue meant new floor plans and points of interest that couldn't require custom engineering each time.
Our approach
We integrated an indoor mapping SDK for beacon and floor-plan-based positioning, then built a structured content pipeline so venue operators can upload floor plans and points of interest themselves. A unified search index spans buildings, departments, and categories so users can find what they need with a single query.
Results
Iwaymaps now covers a wide range of buildings across academic, hospital, and business venue categories, with indoor positioning accurate to within a couple of meters and onboarding time for new venues cut dramatically compared to the team's earlier manual process.
