Abra
A comprehensive digital assets platform providing prime services for institutional clients.

The Challenge
- Institutional clients needed OTC trading, lending, and treasury tools under one roof
- DeFi protocol integrations had to be risk-managed without exposing internal systems directly
- Wealth advisory workflows required a different data model than self-serve trading
- Audit and compliance teams needed verifiable, tamper-evident records of every transaction
Our Solution
Domain-aligned services
We decomposed the platform into OTC trading, lending, treasury, and advisory services, each owning its own data model and scaling independently.
DeFi risk gateway
A dedicated gateway service mediates every DeFi protocol interaction, applying exposure limits and circuit breakers before funds ever leave custody.
Auditable ledger
Every transaction emits an immutable, structured event to a Kafka-backed audit trail, giving compliance teams verifiable records on demand.
Technologies
React, Node.js, Microservices, PostgreSQL, Kafka, AWS, DeFi Protocol Integrations
Overview
Overview
Abra's prime services span OTC trading, lending, borrowing, and wealth advisory for institutional and high-net-worth clients, and the platform needed to support all of it with verifiable, auditable rigor. Albos Technologies Pvt Ltd worked alongside Abra's engineering and risk teams on the service layer.
The challenge
Each service line had different data and compliance needs, and DeFi protocol exposure needed to be tightly governed rather than left to ad hoc integrations. Reconciliation between trading, lending, and treasury records was largely manual.
Our approach
We split the platform into domain-aligned services for OTC trading, lending, treasury, and advisory, connected through a Kafka-backed event bus. A DeFi risk gateway enforces exposure limits before any protocol interaction executes, and every transaction writes an immutable audit event automatically.
Results
Abra's institutional clients now get consistent reporting across trading, lending, and treasury, reconciliation time dropped substantially, and compliance teams have on-demand, tamper-evident records for every transaction in the system.
